I am my kid's artist. Sheets of paper, markers and paint were a centerpiece to my dining table with brushes and a palette of paint stationed next to an easel where I created my work. I drew for my kids and painted for my friends. I started oil painting at the age of 13 living in a small West Texas town at a local art studio, my limited exposure to art education. My family priorities with 4 children buried my paints and brushes in a box. After sending my oldest to college and youngest to kindergarten, I picked up a brush again. As a self-taught artist, I decided to use the wonderful gift that God gave me and donate my works of art to my kids' schools. It was a way for me to help raise money for various organizations and a means to give back to my community. In the spring of 2011, I had the privilege of having my art featured with David Muir and Sharon Alfonse of ABC News with Diane Sawyer on their "Made in America" segment. I now accept commissions. As a graduate of the University of Texas, most of my work tends to focus on the beauty of Texas longhorn cattle.
